Kindred Bakery

Kindred Bakery partners with our school to provide hands-on classes in professionalism, food safety, pastry arts, baking, and operations as part of our Work-Based Learning opportunities. This partnership gives students valuable skills and experience in the culinary arts, preparing them for careers in the food industry and teaching them about the cultural importance of food in various traditions.

The Impact of Kindred Bakery

“It gives him confidence like, ‘Oh I got this, I can do this.’” — Denise, Devon’s mom.

Confidence grows when someone is given the space to try, to learn, and to be seen. Through Kindred Bakery BK, Devon discovered more than baking. He found pride, community, and belief in himself.

His journey is a reminder that when young people are supported, they do not just learn skills. They begin stepping into their full potential.
